Responsibilities

This role demands independent coordination of complex interventional and therapeutic clinical research protocols that carry more than minimal risk, aligned with institutional and regulatory guidelines. Key tasks include collaborating with principal investigators and supervisors, liaising across departments, and maintaining effective communication with research participants, other centers, and sponsors to ensure smooth project progression.

• Manage feasibility assessments and oversee research protocol execution post-IRB approval.
• Recruit, screen, and enroll eligible research participants and schedule necessary study activities.
• Monitor subject participation and report adverse events, deviations, and unexpected problems promptly.
• Oversee research data quality control and ensure compliance.
• Provide training and education to departmental staff as needed.
• Carry out administrative and regulatory responsibilities specific to the study.
• Support protocol document maintenance such as editing, amendments, proofreading, and coordination of study logistics.
• Prepare and submit documents to IRB and federal agencies; act as a consultation resource on regulatory policies.
• Some travel may be required to fulfill job duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 5 years relevant clinical research coordination experience, OR Associate's degree/diploma/certificate plus 3 years experience.
• Associate's degree in Clinical Research without experience is acceptable.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of related clinical research experience or completion of a Mayo Clinic clinical research internship as equivalent.
• Preferred qualifications include graduation from a study coordinator training program, at least one year of clinical research experience, and coursework in medical terminology.

Additional Information

• No visa sponsorship or OPT STEM support is available for this position.
• Position is classified as nonexempt.
• Hourly pay ranges from $31.49 to $47.25.
• Full-time employment with an 80-hour biweekly schedule.
• Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with weekend work as necessary.
