Role Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, the Clinical Research Assistant supports coordination and documentation of Alzheimer's disease research studies, including patient scheduling, history taking, data collection and entry, database management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role also involves assisting laboratory staff with research projects, performing technical duties under guidance, ordering supplies, and conducting administrative tasks related to the study.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum requirement: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred qualifications include an associate degree or certification in administration/secretarial fields instead of an associate degree.
- Completion of a medical terminology course is advantageous.
- Experience in laboratory, research, or clinical environments is preferred, especially familiarity with biospecimen handling, accurate record-keeping, inventory management, and knowledge of quality and safety standards.
Additional Information
This full-time position requires working Monday through Friday, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, totaling 80 hours per pay period. The role is hybrid, requiring presence onsite at least three days weekly and within 100 miles of Mayo Clinic’s Rochester, MN campus. Visa sponsorship is not provided, and the position is ineligible for F-1 OPT STEM extension.
