Role Overview
The Clinical Field Specialist will work remotely under a 12+ months contract to promote and support Green OR's medical device reprocessing program within Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) and hospitals. This role involves educating healthcare stakeholders on the benefits of Green OR products, increasing the volume of recyclable device collection, and supporting distribution and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate stakeholders at ASCs and hospitals on the advantages of Green OR products and services to boost collection and orders of reprocessed devices.
- Clearly explain how Green OR's offerings differ from those of competitors.
- Coordinate collection and shipment logistics of recyclable single-use medical devices with distributors and internal teams at assigned accounts.
- Spend time in operating rooms to build confidence among surgical teams, address their queries, and reinforce understanding of the collection process and quality standards.
- Conduct educational sessions with account stakeholders and healthcare staff regarding new products, evaluation programs, process changes, or responding to customer concerns to drive device collection.
- Analyze the needs of ambulatory surgery centers or hospitals to identify gaps in reprocessing and recommend improvements to enhance collections.
- Deliver regular business reviews highlighting account performance, cost savings, and growth opportunities.
- Customize messaging for accounts based on customer knowledge, advise on product selection, address questions on product functionality and FDA reprocessing guidelines, and distinguish Green OR from OEMs and other reprocessors.
- Advise customers and internal teams on how to maximize their reprocessing programs through analysis of current practices and needs.
- Adapt marketing materials and signage to suit each account’s and facility’s collection site requirements.
- Support territory business planning grounded in current and projected customer sales and reprocessing trends.
- Assess customer device usage to increase participation in Green OR's program and drive sales of new products and services.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Preferred associate or bachelor's degree.
- Clinical experience in high acuity settings required, including roles such as Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse, Certified Surgical Technician, Sterile Processing Department team member, Medical Scribe, or ER Technician.
- Preferably 3+ years of business-to-business experience.
- Familiarity with hospital or ASC environments preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet usage.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent presentation delivery skills.
- Capability to quickly assess and resolve customer concerns with suitable solutions.
- Willingness to spend time in operating rooms and cultivate relationships with clinical staff.
- Ability to establish rapport and build lasting business relationships.
- Willingness and physical ability to travel overnight up to 40% of the time and lift up to 40 pounds.
