About the Role and Company
This role is part of a globally recognized leader in medical devices specializing in pacemaker, ICD, CRT, and leadless pacing technologies. The Clinical Field Specialist will deliver hands-on clinical and technical assistance to healthcare providers across New South Wales (NSW) and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Responsibilities include supporting device implantation procedures, conducting follow-up clinic visits, troubleshooting device issues, and leading educational initiatives, while fostering strong customer connections in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support during implantation of pacemakers, ICDs, CRTs, and leadless devices.
- Assist in post-operative follow-up clinics and optimize device function.
- Diagnose and resolve device-related problems, offering clinical advice to medical professionals.
- Conduct product training and educational sessions for clinicians and hospital personnel.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of the cardiac rhythm management portfolio.
- Collaborate with Territory Managers to address customer requirements and meet territory goals.
- Contribute to product launches and market development activities.
- Collect and relay customer feedback, market insights, and competitor information.
- Complete all administrative, reporting, and compliance tasks promptly and accurately.
- Participate in internal product and clinical training, including necessary certification programs.
- Take part in the designated on-call rotation tied to the role.
- Develop and sustain strong clinical relationships across hospitals and healthcare systems throughout NSW and ACT.
Required Skills and Experience
- Post-secondary qualification in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Science, Nursing, Cardiac Technology, or a related field.
- At least two years' experience working with cardiac rhythm management devices.
- Proven ability to support pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantation procedures.
- Strong skills in clinical troubleshooting and engaging customers effectively.
- Capacity to operate independently in a field-based role.
- Willingness to travel extensively within NSW and ACT, with occasional interstate travel as necessary.
- Availability and readiness to participate in an on-call roster.
