The Clinical Administrative Coordinator plays a vital role in executing processes and protocols while working collaboratively with care team members to support the organization’s mission and deliver excellent customer service. This position also supports the team’s efforts to meet state compliance standards.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time telecommute job based in the United States, requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Work hours are an 8-hour shift between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm EST with occasional overtime as needed. Candidates residing in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island enjoy telecommuting flexibility, with about 10% travel expected within Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently
  • Handle administrative intake and data management for clinical team membership
  • Coordinate requests for long-term and respite services with providers or clinical team members
  • Manage notifications, processing of referrals, and prior authorizations including intake, notification, and census functions
  • Receive care coordination notifications for cases not requiring clinical assessment and provide suitable triage
  • Assist clinical staff in preparing documents and triaging cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • Process and distribute customized reports to providers and clinical staff
  • Efficiently manage multiple platforms and applications simultaneously
  • Make inbound and outbound calls to providers and internal departments for assistance with notifications and documentation

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum one year of experience using phone and computer as primary tools in a workplace
  • At least one year of healthcare administration experience
  • Intermediate computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work standard hours Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm EST
  • Residency within Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or New Hampshire required
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% within Massachusetts
  • Preferred but not required: Experience working with health insurance, medical claims, research, terminology, Medicare/Medicaid, clerical or administrative support, and higher education degrees

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $18 to $32 dependent on location, experience, education, and certifications.
