Role Overview

As a Bakery Department Clerk, you will provide friendly and professional customer service, assist in fulfilling all bakery department responsibilities, and supervise staff when the Bakery Manager is absent. Your role will foster a positive and engaging workplace for both employees and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service tailored to individual customer needs.
• Oversee bakery staff in the Bakery Manager’s absence.
• Encourage a supportive culture focused on coaching and staff development.
• Process and complete bakery orders accurately.
• Receive and manage bakery stock deliveries.
• Carry out bakery production tasks.
• Organize and merchandise the bakery department effectively.
• Apply SMART retailing practices as per Atlantic region guidelines.
• Maintain high sanitation and cleanliness standards in the department.
• Follow and uphold all company policies and standards.
• Perform related administrative duties as required.

Candidate Profile

• Capable of working independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills above average standard.
• Solid work ethic with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Completed High School Diploma.
• At least 12 months of relevant work experience.
