Cleaning Technician with Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) Plant Experience

Role Overview

We are looking to hire an experienced Cleaning Technician skilled in handling tasks within a Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) facility. The individual will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of industrial equipment, components, and workspace environments while adhering to stringent safety, quality, and operational standards. This position demands familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and prior involvement in fabrication or heat treatment settings.

Primary Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning processes on PWHT furnaces, fixtures, tools, piping, and related machinery.
• Effectively clean fabricated parts before and after undergoing PWHT by applying approved cleaning agents and methods.
• Eliminate scale, rust, oils, grease, and other impurities from metal surfaces.
• Handle industrial cleaning devices, such as pressure washers, vacuum cleaners, and manual tools.
• Ensure work zones, workshops, and materials storage areas remain tidy and well-maintained.
• Properly dispose of waste materials following organizational protocols and environmental guidelines.
• Assist PWHT operations by preparing equipment and designated areas for production activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of secondary education or an equivalent certification.
• Holding a certificate in industrial cleaning or a related technical discipline will be advantageous.
• Between 2 and 5 years of professional experience as a Cleaning Technician in industrial setups such as fabrication shops, refineries, or PWHT plants.
• Hands-on experience with heavy industrial machinery and metal components.
• Knowledge on usage and safe handling of industrial cleaning chemicals.
