Role overview
This is a full-time cleaning role based at Macarthur Square in Campbelltown, New South Wales. The roster runs on Monday and Thursday from 09:54 to 18:00, Tuesday and Wednesday from 14:00 to 21:36, and Sunday from 10:24 to 18:00. The role is paid under the Cleaning Services Award 2020.
What the job involves
The position is suited to someone with commercial or retail cleaning experience who wants to contribute to a team that plays an important part in day-to-day operations. Training will be provided on the job for the right person.
Key duties
- Carry out cleaning tasks at the site to a high standard.
- Use cleaning machinery when required, including scrubbing and buffing equipment and a car park sweeper.
- Follow safe work methods and cleaning procedures at all times.
- Work independently and remain proactive throughout the shift.
- Maintain clear communication in spoken and written English.
- Follow instructions carefully and complete duties across long periods of walking and physical activity.
Requirements
- Professional, presentable and able to work without close supervision.
- Previous experience in commercial or retail cleaning is preferred.
- Willingness to learn chemical handling and correct cleaning methods if needed.
- Exposure to cleaning machinery such as scrubbers, buffers and car park sweepers is preferred.
- Strong awareness of safe work practices.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to walk for extended periods.
- Ability to listen well, follow directions and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and public holidays.
- Valid work rights in Australia.
