Overview

Royal York Property Management, a prominent property management company in Canada, oversees thousands of residential rental units throughout Ontario. We are seeking trustworthy and meticulous Cleaners to join our expanding team of cleaning specialists.

Role Details

This position involves performing move-in, move-out, and vacant unit turnover cleaning, as well as routine housekeeping for inhabited homes. Cleaners will travel independently to scheduled locations using their own vehicle and are responsible for ensuring all cleaning assignments meet our company standards.

Application Process

Applicants whose resumes meet the requirements will be invited within 24 to 48 hours to complete a pre-recorded online interview. This interview evaluates your cleaning experience, practical knowledge, availability, equipment and supplies, vehicle access, and comfort using a mobile work application. Successful candidates will proceed to the subsequent stages of hiring.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough move-in and move-out cleaning for residential rentals.
• Conduct detailed turnover cleaning in vacant apartments and houses.
• Provide routine housekeeping services in occupied residences when needed.
• Clean all areas of the home including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, floors, and common surfaces.
• Execute detailed cleaning tasks such as scrubbing baseboards, interiors of cabinets, and appliances.
• Utilize a mobile work app to receive job assignments, review instructions, navigate via GPS, upload photographs, and update job progress.
• Carry out inspections to ensure cleanliness meets company quality standards before concluding each task.
• Report any property damage, maintenance issues, or situations where cleaning cannot be satisfactorily completed.
• Travel between job sites using a personal vehicle.

Mandatory Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of compensated professional cleaning experience.
• Proficiency in both move-in/move-out cleaning and regular housekeeping duties.
• Ownership of a reliable vehicle to travel between assignments and transport cleaning materials.
• Possession of personal cleaning supplies and necessary equipment to fulfill cleaning appointments.
• Own a compatible smartphone that supports running a mobile work application with GPS, photo capture, instruction reading, and status updating features.
• Comfort and capability to clean kitchens, bathrooms, floors, baseboards, cabinets, appliances, and other detailed components.
• Ability to work without supervision and adhere to cleaning protocols.
• Basic English communication abilities.
• Dependability, punctuality, and willingness to follow GPS-verified schedule times.
