Cleaner - Team Leader

Role overview

Charles River Laboratories is hiring a Cleaner - Team Leader for its Tranent site in Edinburgh (EH33 2NE). The role sits within a global organization with a long history of supporting drug discovery, development, and safe manufacturing. The position is based on site and follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 07:30 to 15:30.

Having your own transport would be helpful because of the location.

What you will do

You will oversee cleaning activities across office, laboratory, and general areas. This includes keeping surfaces, floors, benches, and corridors clean and maintained to the required standard. In addition to hands-on cleaning duties, the role includes leading people and stepping in for supervisors when needed.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will bring prior cleaning experience, though this is described as an advantage rather than a strict requirement. You should work well as part of a team, show strong attention to detail, and be adaptable, reliable, and willing to work hard. Experience in leading people is preferred.

Hours and contract details

This is a full-time opportunity of 36.25 hours per week. Part-time working hours may also be considered.
