Role Overview
UPMC is seeking a Claims Submission Specialist for an 11-month fixed term contract located full-time at the UPMC Cleaboy Business Office in Waterford. The specialist will join an integrated Access to Care team that manages administrative support services across UPMC healthcare facilities. The role demands agility, diligence, and organizational skills to contribute to delivering life-changing medical services to patients and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all private and public insurance claims efficiently.
- Manage unbilled claims and collaborate with business partners to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Address and resolve inquiries from internal and external partners related to claims.
- Assist the claims submission team with ongoing projects.
- Handle patient queries regarding claims processing.
- Gain comprehensive understanding of private health insurance and verification processes.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including patients and staff.
- Provide broad administrative assistance to support the smooth operation of services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of one year experience in a similar administrative role.
- Relevant Business or Secretarial qualification.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with healthcare systems such as iPims is advantageous.
Salary and Working Hours
The salary range is €30,500 to €43,273 annually, aligned with a full-time permanent contract of 39 hours per week.
