Role Overview

This contract opportunity is for an Insurance Claim Specialist who will support claims handling for a client. The position is remote and can be performed from anywhere. The work focuses on reviewing insurance claims carefully, moving them through processing efficiently, and making sure all actions follow company rules and relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine insurance claims submitted through the platform and confirm that the supporting paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Cross-check claim information against policy terms, including coverage limits, exclusions, and deductibles.
• Reach out to claimants, healthcare providers, and other relevant parties to request missing details or resolve inconsistencies.
• Assess whether claims meet eligibility criteria and compute payout amounts in line with policy provisions and applicable regulations.
• Keep claim records up to date and log all decisions and status changes accurately in the system.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience handling and evaluating insurance claims in a high-volume or fast-moving setting.
• Comfort using insurance claim systems or related software, including data entry and record management tools.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when checking documentation and calculating settlement amounts.
• Ability to read insurance policies and apply coverage rules correctly to individual cases.
• Clear and professional communication skills for working with claimants and other stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of compliance requirements and regulatory standards in the insurance sector.
