About the Role
This opportunity is based in Dublin, Ireland, offering a hybrid working arrangement with two days onsite. The position reports directly to the Claims Manager and features a competitive salary ranging from 34,000 to 40,000 annually. This role targets professionals seeking to advance their career in insurance claims handling, welcoming both experienced claims handlers and insurance personnel aiming to transition into this specialty. Full training will be provided.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee motor insurance claims from initiation through resolution, taking complete ownership of the process, collecting necessary information, assessing liability, and processing settlements within authorized limits.
- Serve as the primary liaison for customers, brokers, and service providers, ensuring clear and supportive communication throughout the claim's lifecycle.
- Make informed judgments regarding claims, identify potential indicators of fraud, and maintain precise records.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to manage workflow and foster a positive team environment.
- Engage with external professionals such as loss adjusters and solicitors when required.
- Participate in staff training, project initiatives, and continuous process improvements.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in claims handling or within the insurance sector (either broker or insurer).
- Possession of the APA qualification, specifically in Personal and Commercial lines, is mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills combined with strong organizational abilities.
- A problem-solving mindset coupled with a commitment to excellent customer service.
