Job description
Overview
This role sits with a respected Irish insurer operating in Dublin. The position is hybrid, with two days required on site, and reports to the Claims Manager. The salary range is €34,000 to €40,000. The business is open to candidates already working in claims, as well as insurance professionals who want to move into a claims-focused position. Full training is provided.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Own motor claims from intake through settlement, including collecting the necessary details, evaluating liability, and resolving cases within your decision-making authority.
- Serve as the key contact for customers, brokers, and service partners, supporting them through the claims journey in a clear and reassuring manner.
- Use sound judgement in decisions, identify possible fraud signals, and maintain precise case documentation.
- Partner with teammates to manage workload and help sustain a positive, collaborative environment.
- Work with loss adjusters, solicitors, and other external parties when required.
- Take part in training, project work, and ongoing process improvement efforts.
Candidate profile
- Previous experience in claims handling or broader insurance experience within a broker or insurer setting.
- APA (Personal & Commercial) or CIP qualification is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good organisational ability.
- A practical problem-solver who puts the customer first.
- A proactive team player who contributes positively to shared goals.
