Role overview
A expanding contractor operating in utilities and infrastructure is hiring a Civils Site Supervisor to help deliver multi-discipline ESB substation and framework works. This position is a strong fit for a seasoned civil construction professional who brings hands-on site leadership, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to coordinate day-to-day activity effectively while building a career with a growing company.
What you will do
- Manage civils activities from site setup and mobilisation through to completion and handover.
- Direct and support site teams through their daily tasks and priorities.
- Ensure safe working practices are followed, including PPE use and compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Check work quality so that all output matches drawings, specifications, and project expectations.
- Assign work, follow progress, and help keep the programme on schedule.
- Liaise with foremen, engineers, and other supervisors to solve issues that arise on site.
- Oversee the correct use, upkeep, and control of tools, plant, equipment, and materials.
- Keep accurate site records such as progress updates, attendance, materials usage, and reports.
- Assist with the induction and training of new colleagues joining the team.
Requirements
- Background in civil construction with proven industry experience.
- Prior experience supervising teams or leading work on construction sites.
- Good understanding of construction techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and planning skills.
- Current Safe Pass certification.
- Experience on ESB sites would be an advantage.
