Job description
Job Purpose
The Civil Works Technician supports day-to-day property maintenance by carrying out a range of civil tasks, including painting, masonry, carpentry, and gypsum work. The position focuses on completing assignments on time while following required quality, safety, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled civil maintenance tasks such as painting, gypsum, masonry, and carpentry as directed by the Civil Works Supervisor.
- Follow all workplace safety rules, health guidelines, and company procedures consistently.
- Escalate problems, client concerns, and work-related issues to the Supervisor without delay so corrective action can be taken.
- Support the technical upkeep of property civil works to keep facilities in good condition.
- Produce work that meets quality expectations and contributes to positive client satisfaction.
- Take on other related duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Education and Qualifications
A Technical Certificate in Painting, Carpentry, Masonry, or Gypsum is required.
Experience
Applicants should have at least 4 years of experience working as a Civil Works Technician in property management, facilities management, or a construction setting where quality and technical accuracy matter.
Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of civil works and building fit-out methods.
- Familiarity with basic health and safety practices.
- Ability to communicate in basic English.
- Capacity to work cooperatively with technical teams.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to foresee issues before they escalate.
