Civil Inspector

Overview

Hartecs Group is gathering expressions of interest from skilled Roadworks Inspectors to support various upcoming infrastructure projects managed by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) across Central Queensland, particularly in the Rockhampton and Biloela areas. This initiative aims to build a talent pool for projects starting soon and is focused on professionals with extensive experience in road and civil infrastructure delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing TMR road and bridge infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with design and contractual specifications
• Conducting construction surveillance and site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards
• Carrying out quality assurance checks and monitoring adherence to compliance requirements
• Providing support for contract administration activities
• Preparing daily reports, maintaining site documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders
• Detecting non-conformances and tracking necessary corrective actions
• Collaborating closely with contractors, project teams, and clients to facilitate smooth project delivery

Candidate Profile

• Experience working on TMR or large-scale civil infrastructure projects
• Holder of Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision, Engineering qualifications, or comparable industry experience
• In-depth understanding of road construction methods, specifications, and quality standards
• Strong communication abilities and proficiency in reporting
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
