About the Role
Join a globally recognized infrastructure consulting firm as a Civil Engineer specializing in dams and reservoirs, supporting a variety of projects across the UK and beyond. This role offers the chance to contribute to a new era of water supply infrastructure including safety upgrades, hydropower developments, and resilience enhancements within the water sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, and execution of dam and reservoir projects involving embankments, spillways, outlet works, dam raising, and remediation activities.
- Conduct feasibility analyses, options evaluations, detailed engineering design, and provide construction phase support.
- Perform safety assessments, hydrological and flood routing studies, drawdown evaluations, and breach analysis of dam structures.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including reports, specifications, drawings, and designs.
- Collaborate effectively with Panel Engineers, regulatory bodies, water companies, and contractors.
- Conduct on-site inspections and condition assessments of assets.
- Support bidding processes, promote sustainable engineering practices, and pursue continuous professional growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Practical experience in reservoir engineering, river engineering, or water utilities sector.
- Proven ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams delivering high-quality outcomes.
