About the Role

Join a leading global infrastructure firm delivering critical services in the dams and reservoirs sector. With the UK water industry ramping up significant investments in new water supply reservoirs and transfer schemes, we seek civil engineers at various experience levels to join our expanding team. Our projects span safety improvements, hydropower generation, new storage solutions, and resilience enhancements. This position offers expert mentorship and a chance to influence water resource management's future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute dam and reservoir projects, including embankments, spillways, outlet works, raising dams, and remediation efforts.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, evaluate options, develop both outline and detailed designs, and provide construction support.
  • Perform dam safety assessments along with hydrological studies, flood routing analyses, drawdown evaluations, and dam breach assessments.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, drawings, and design documentation.
  • Liaise closely with Panel Engineers, regulatory bodies, water companies, and contractors.
  • Carry out site inspections, investigations, and assess asset conditions.
  • Assist in bid preparations, promote sustainability initiatives, and pursue ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in reservoir or river engineering, or in water utility projects.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams delivering quality outputs.
