Civil Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to manage and oversee construction projects. The role requires supervising on-site activities ensuring adherence to quality, safety norms, and project timelines. Candidates will collaborate closely with contractors, consultants, and site teams, applying their expertise in civil construction, blueprint interpretation, estimation, and site operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily construction operations at the project location.
• Implement work in alignment with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Assess material quality and workmanship against established standards.
• Maintain coordination with subcontractors, contractors, consultants, and other departments.
• Interpret structural, architectural, and civil engineering drawings accurately.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, record site measurements, and document work activities.
• Track project advancement to guarantee punctual completion of allocated tasks.
• Verify quantities and aid in contractor measurement and billing processes.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and construction regulations.
• Identify and resolve site-related problems in collaboration with appropriate teams.
• Keep meticulous records of materials used, workforce deployment, work progress, and site operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma, B.Tech, or B.E. degree in Civil Engineering.
• Between 2 to 5 years of experience in construction and site execution roles.
• Strong understanding of civil construction best practices and quality assurance.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office tools.
• Competent in problem-solving and site management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with quantity estimation and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Familiarity with concrete (RCC), masonry, plastering, finishing, and other civil construction activities.
• Expertise in site measurement and contractor payment processes.
• Ability to oversee manpower and manage multiple concurrent site activities.
• Understanding of relevant construction codes and occupational safety standards.
