The Church at Junction 10, affiliated with the Assemblies of God Great Britain for more than 40 years, is a dynamic and welcoming congregation dedicated to impactful teaching, sincere worship, genuine friendships, ongoing prayer, and compassionate support for those in need.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Children and Youth Ministries Pastor to guide and nurture both children's and youth ministries, aligning with our mission to "Build a Community with Jesus at the Centre." This full-time role involves leading, developing, and expanding comprehensive programs for young people aged 3 to 18, fostering spiritual growth and community inclusion.

Working Hours and Location

  • Full-time position with 37 hours per week (job share or part-time considered)
  • Primary locations include ARC, 323 Wolverhampton Road, Walsall; Friday evening Youth Club at ARC; Sundays at Grace Academy Darlaston
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements available

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide spiritual guidance, mentorship, and pastoral care to children, young people, volunteers, and interns
  • Plan, lead, and enhance weekly activities such as youth clubs, Sunday groups, retreats, residential trips, family services, holiday clubs, mission outings, and outreach events
  • Recruit, train, support, and oversee volunteers and interns engaged in ministries
  • Foster strong relationships with parents, caregivers, schools, and community organizations
  • Manage the ministry’s budget with responsibility and transparency
  • Ensure safeguarding compliance consistent with church policies and legal requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Practising Christian with an active church involvement; personal faith essential (Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010)
  • Experience working with children and young people, either paid or voluntary
  • Strong communication skills capable of teaching, leading, and inspiring diverse groups
  • Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative within leadership frameworks
  • Ability to work strategically and motivate others, designing relevant programs for multicultural youth
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and social media platforms
  • Hold or able to obtain a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • Passion for discipleship and developing others is vital
  • Relevant qualifications in children's, youth, or community work are preferred
  • Experience in evangelism, outreach, and church leadership is advantageous
