Role Overview

Busy Bees Nurseries is hiring Childcare Practitioners for its Central Park centre in Dublin 18. The centre currently has several openings across baby, toddler, and pre-school age groups. The role is intended to begin straight away, subject to completion of vetting checks.

What the Role Involves

• Provide a safe, secure, and healthy setting that supports the care and wellbeing of children.
• Look after the full range of children’s needs in a nurturing and holistic way.
• Plan and support age-appropriate learning activities that help each child develop to their potential.
• Help maintain a learning space that is orderly, clean, safe, well-resourced, and respectful of different cultures.
• Track and document children’s development and progress.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Follow established policies and procedures to uphold high standards of practice.

Required Qualifications

• A genuine love of working with children is essential.
• Minimum FETAC / QQI Level 5 qualification in Childcare, or an equivalent credential.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a childcare environment.
• First Aid, Manual Handling, and Food Safety training are considered an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A positive attitude toward ongoing learning and career growth.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must be prepared to provide written references and complete Garda vetting through the company. Police clearance will also be needed if the candidate has lived outside Ireland for more than 6 consecutive months after turning 18. Proof of eligibility to work in the EU is required.
