Role overview
A well-established nursery team in Cherrywood is hiring experienced early years educators to work with children from babies through preschool age. The role is suited to someone who enjoys supporting children’s development in a warm, team-focused childcare setting.
The position can begin immediately, subject to completion of vetting checks.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality service for children and their families
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and room leaders
- Plan and introduce fresh ideas and activities that support learning and engagement
- Keep parents and guardians updated on their child’s day and progress
- Escalate any concerns to the team leader or manager promptly
- Take part in themed days within the crèche when required
- Cooperate with TUSLA Early Years inspectors
Working hours
This is a 40-hour weekly role. The crèche operates from 7:30am to 6:30pm, and shifts can be up to 8 hours long. Final shift patterns will be confirmed by management.
Required qualifications and checks
- A minimum QQI/FETAC Level 5 qualification in Childcare is required
- Any alternative qualification must be recognised by the DCDE
- Applicants must be eligible to work full-time in Ireland
- Genuine interest in early years education is essential
- The ideal candidate will be hardworking, ambitious, creative and a strong team player
- Previous experience and additional qualifications are considered an advantage
- Garda Vetting is required
- If the applicant has lived outside Ireland for more than 6 months, international police clearance will also be needed
