Job description
Role Summary
We are searching for experienced Early Years Educators to join our dedicated team at Eden Gate Nursery in Delgany, County Wicklow. This role involves caring for children ranging from infants to pre- and after-school age groups, providing an enriching early childhood experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality childcare services to children and their families.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and team leaders to maintain a supportive team environment.
- Develop and implement innovative activities and learning opportunities tailored to children’s needs.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents or guardians about daily activities and their children’s progress.
- Report any concerns about children to the team leader or manager promptly.
- Participate actively in themed events within the nursery to engage children.
- Work cooperatively with TUSLA Early Years Inspectors during inspections to ensure compliance.
Work Hours
The full-time role requires 40 hours per week. Nursery operates from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM with shifts lasting up to 8 hours as scheduled by management.
Required Qualifications and Eligibility
- Applicants must hold at least a QQI/FETAC Level 5 qualification in Childcare or an equivalent qualification recognized by the DCDE.
- Candidates must be authorized to work full-time in Ireland.
- A passion for Early Years education, creativity, ambition, and excellent teamwork skills are essential.
- Additional experience and qualifications are advantageous.
- Completion of Garda Vetting and, if applicable, international police clearance is mandatory for candidates who have lived outside Ireland for over six months.
