Child Safeguarding Group Leader

Role Overview

ESM is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Child Safeguarding Group Leader to uphold and monitor safeguarding practices throughout our organisation. This role is essential for fostering a safe, supportive, and accountable environment for children, employees, and other participants.

Core Responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison for staff reporting safeguarding issues, managing incident documentation securely, and conducting investigations with utmost confidentiality.
• Analyze incident trends regularly to identify recurring risks and stay updated on relevant local laws and safeguarding standards.
• Provide certified training materials to ensure all personnel are appropriately qualified and organize additional targeted training for key individuals as needed.
• Develop and distribute informative communications to enhance understanding of safeguarding principles across the organisation.
• Promote a comprehensive safeguarding culture by performing audits and compliance checks to maintain exemplary standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a Level 3 Certificate in Safeguarding for Children.
• At least one year of experience managing safeguarding cases or functioning in a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) role.
