Overview
We are collaborating with a well-established private UK enterprise embarking on a dynamic growth phase. With several nationwide offices, a strong market foothold, and ambitious expansion goals, technology is becoming pivotal to the company’s strategic future. The organization seeks an experienced Fractional CTO or Technology & AI Advisor to collaborate closely with the Managing Director and senior executives, crafting and executing a technology strategy that delivers meaningful commercial advantages.
This is not a traditional IT support position but a strategic advisory role tasked with influencing business decisions, uncovering innovation opportunities, and spearheading technological transformation across the company. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, shaping how technology, AI, and automation stimulate future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and maintaining a long-term technology roadmap that aligns with business goals.
- Guiding the senior leadership on technology investments, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Spotting AI and automation prospects to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Driving transformation projects such as CRM improvements, workflow automation, analytics, business intelligence, and custom software development.
- Managing relationships with software vendors, developers, and external tech partners.
- Overseeing project execution to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery of solutions.
- Supporting business acquisitions by leading technology due diligence and integration planning.
- Fostering a culture of innovation within the organization.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in roles such as Fractional CTO, Chief Technology Officer, Technology Director, Head of Technology, Chief Digital Officer, or Digital Transformation Consultant.
- A commercial mindset applying technology strategically.
- Demonstrable success in formulating and implementing technology strategies.
- Strong expertise in AI, automation, and digital transformation.
- Proven skills managing software development projects and collaborating with third-party technology vendors.
- Effective communication skills with senior stakeholders, capable of converting business objectives into actionable technology solutions.
Prior exposure to recruitment, staffing, or professional services sectors is beneficial but not mandatory.
