NU Advisory Partners is conducting a search for a Chief People Officer for a scaled, mission-focused organization that is preparing for its next stage of expansion. This senior leader will own the full people agenda and work closely with executive leadership to strengthen organizational design, talent programs, leadership capability, compensation strategy, and HR operations. What You Will Lead
- Set and deliver a comprehensive people strategy that supports business priorities and long-term growth.

Compensation, Governance, and Organizational Scaling
- Own people workstreams connected to more mature operating expectations.
- Work with leadership on compensation frameworks, equity programs, and governance processes.
- Refine reward structures to improve growth, retention, and competitiveness in the market.
- Bring consistency and rigor to compensation decisions across leadership and employee groups.
People Analytics and Operations
- Develop people analytics capabilities that surface insights on talent, retention, engagement, and performance.
- Manage HR operations, compliance, benefits, HR business partnering, and performance management.
- Define and track KPIs across recruiting, retention, engagement, manager effectiveness, and workforce productivity.
- Use data to identify trends, prioritize action, and improve organizational outcomes.
Talent Acquisition and Employer Brand
- Lead a strong recruiting function with disciplined full-cycle hiring, operating metrics, and candidate experience standards.
- Strengthen employer branding and talent messaging to attract high-quality, mission-aligned candidates.
- Improve onboarding and early-tenure experiences to boost productivity, engagement, and retention.
- Partner with leaders to make sure hiring plans match business priorities and capacity.
Learning, Development, and Manager Effectiveness
- Design manager development programs that improve coaching, development, and retention practices.
- Introduce feedback, performance, and talent development systems that support career growth and accountability.
- Identify skill gaps and create programs that help employees and managers adapt as the organization changes.
- Support adoption of modern tools and ways of working through change management, learning, and workforce planning.
Team Leadership and Function Building
- Lead and grow a scaled people team covering recruiting, HR business partnership, compensation, analytics, and operations.
- Evaluate the team structure and address capability gaps as the organization expands.
- Build leadership depth and clarify ownership within the people function.
- Create a high-accountability, service-oriented team that works with speed, judgment, and strong partnership.
Qualifications
- Background as a Chief People Officer or senior people leader in a scaled, growth-oriented organization.
- Experience guiding organizations through significant operating, governance, or scaling milestones.
- Deep knowledge of compensation strategy, equity programs, executive rewards, and governance.
- Proven ability to build people analytics infrastructure and use data to shape talent and retention decisions.
- Experience supporting businesses with multiple employee groups, talent profiles, operating rhythms, and incentive structures.
- History of leading a people function through a major organizational transition or inflection point.
- Demonstrated success in building manager development programs that improve leadership effectiveness.
- Strong experience across recruiting, HR operations, compensation, compliance, performance management, and organizational development.
- Executive-level presence and the credibility to act as a true partner to senior leadership.
- Highly disciplined, intellectually curious, and comfortable making decisions amid ambiguity.
