Overview
The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the role of Chief Operating Officer to serve as a key leader within our Executive Board. This position offers the chance to significantly impact healthcare delivery for Dudley and surrounding areas, overseeing an extensive range of acute, community, and specialist services during a period of considerable growth and change.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting as a voting member of the Trust Board and Executive Leadership Team, the appointee will provide strategic leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, responsive, and financially sound healthcare services across the organisation. Responsibilities include managing operational performance, spearheading service transformation initiatives, improving patient flow, overseeing urgent and emergency care operations, enhancing productivity, workforce management, and advancing the Trust's strategic goals.
The COO will collaborate closely with the Chief Executive, Executive colleagues, clinical leaders, and system partners to help shape the future of services and influence the development of the wider NHS Group framework.
Candidate Profile
Suitable candidates will be seasoned executive leaders with a robust background in operational excellence within large, complex healthcare settings. They will have proven success in leading transformational changes, driving performance improvements, cultivating high-performing teams, and establishing effective relationships with clinicians, staff, and external stakeholders.
