Chief Operating Officer – Highly Engineered Manufacturing – Private Equity

Role Overview

This opportunity is for a hands-on Chief Operating Officer to lead a growing middle-market manufacturer of highly engineered component products serving major OEM customers across several industries. The business has a custom-engineered manufacturing model, operates from multiple facilities, and is expanding through both acquisitions and organic growth.

What the Role Involves

The organization is looking for a strong operating leader who can improve efficiency, deliver reliable outcomes across the business, and put meaningful KPIs and performance measures in place to guide strategic decisions. The COO will oversee a skilled engineering team as well as a fast-moving, multi-site production operations function.

Background and Experience

The ideal candidate will bring deep exposure to product design, engineering, and manufacturing environments, along with a strong track record in operations, procurement, product development, and process execution. Experience leading process implementation and performance improvement in a multi-location manufacturing setting is important.

The role suits someone who has previously worked in larger corporate environments early in their career and has been involved in introducing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar improvement programs. Experience building effective processes and operational best practices from the ground up in mid-sized organizations is also highly valued.

Compensation
