About the Role

This encompasses not merely user interfaces but also the practicality of transforming application concepts into operational solutions powered by Renesas's silicon, software, reference designs, and partnerships. UX is pivotal to accelerating growth by minimizing friction, speeding up value realization, fostering reuse, and clarifying system integration across MCU, MPU, analog, power, and software segments. It acts as the integrative force linking various product groups, digital initiatives, sales, and external collaborators, supporting Renesas's strategic goals for 2030 and 2035.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine the UX Playbook, establishing uniform workflows, engagement approaches, deliverables, KPIs, and governance models.
- Ensure global consistency and scalability of UX processes, facilitating seamless cooperation across UX, Product Groups, Sales, and Software & Digitalization.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for cross-organizational initiatives, resolving prioritization conflicts, dependencies, and escalations.
- Create executive-level reports and presentations for leadership teams, boards, and industry analysts, translating data into strategic insights.
- Offer strategic consultancy support to the VP of UX by assessing the effectiveness and return on investment of UX initiatives and proposing enhancements.
- Contribute to merger and acquisition activities by delivering UX-focused analysis regarding technology alignment and capability gaps.
- Define and monitor metrics aimed at improving time-to-market, component reuse, and product attach rates to ensure measurable and repeatable results.
Qualifications and Skills
- Over a decade of leadership experience within the semiconductor sector, encompassing engineering, product development, sales, and software domains.
- A degree in Engineering or a comparable field; possession of an MBA is highly advantageous.
- Strong executive presence with credibility at the executive leadership team level.
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities combined with structured and analytical business thinking.
Expected Outcomes Within 12–18 Months
