Role Overview
This position offers a strategic partnership opportunity to a senior product executive within a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovation-focused environment based in the United States. The Chief of Staff to the Chief Product Officer will enable clear decision-making and drive progress by translating complex priorities and discussions into actionable goals. The role enhances collaboration and coordination across multiple product teams to align with key business initiatives and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to executive priorities, including managing communications, schedules, decision-making, and aligning the organization.
- Monitor critical items such as open decisions, actions, risks, dependencies, and follow-ups to keep initiatives advancing steadily.
- Clarify complex conversations into distinct outcomes with designated owners, timelines, and next steps.
- Prepare high-level materials such as meeting summaries, presentations, briefing notes, and leadership communications.
- Facilitate coordination between product teams and cross-functional leadership to boost visibility, collaboration, and execution efficiency.
- Streamline executive workflows by enhancing meeting productivity, optimizing calendar priorities, and dedicating focus time effectively.
- Develop and implement scalable workflows and processes leveraging automation, AI, and productivity platforms.
- Support strategic projects and organizational improvements within product and business operations.
- Act as a thought partner by anticipating challenges, suggesting solutions, and guiding teams through ambiguous situations.
Candidate Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience partnering with senior executives like Chief Product Officers, COOs, CEOs, technical founders, or similar leaders.
- Background in roles such as Chief of Staff, senior executive assistant, executive business partner, business or product operations, or technical program management.
- Excellent communication skills for creating executive-level documents and presentations.
- Proven ability to handle competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and manage complex cross-functional initiatives with sound judgment.
- Experience collaborating with teams including Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Safety, Quality, Commercial, and Deployment.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and operate effectively in technology-driven contexts.
- Exceptional organizational skills, proactive approach, and capacity to bring order without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Strong independent problem-solving capacity and creativity in developing solutions.
- Comfortable navigating fast-changing, ambiguous, and high-accountability environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical, STEM, business, or related disciplines preferred.
- Experience with AI tools, automation platforms, and workflow/productivity optimization is advantageous.
- Preferred background includes startup environments or complex regulated industries such as energy, aerospace, or advanced technology sectors.
