Role Overview
We are currently looking for a strategic and driven Chief of Staff to support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in steering the operations division, ensuring smooth management of the manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and procurement functions. This role requires translating complex operational challenges into actionable insights and fostering cross-functional collaboration to boost overall organizational performance.
Key Duties
- Assist the COO in the creation, rollout, and supervision of operational strategies for the manufacturing division ensuring coordination across various sites.
- Spot opportunities for process enhancements, cost savings, and increased efficiency within manufacturing units by applying Lean methods and data analytics.
- Serve as the liaison for key stakeholders internally and externally, crafting polished executive-level presentations and decision-making materials while encouraging teamwork across departments.
- Drive significant cross-departmental projects from initiation through completion, taking responsibility for major COO priorities.
- Contribute towards cultivating a positive workplace culture, assisting with talent growth, succession planning, and organizational development efforts.
- Manage various special tasks assigned by the COO with a proactive and flexible approach.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in management consulting, industrial strategy, or operations transformation.
- Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving abilities grounded in data-driven decision making.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German, capable of influencing senior leadership.
- Experienced in project management and adept at leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; ERP and MES system knowledge is advantageous.
