Role Overview

We seek a Chief of Staff to guide Planet A through its evolving phase by maintaining strategic clarity and operational focus. This role is highly visible and central, offering the chance to engage directly with transformative tech ventures and influence how the fund operates, communicates, and scales. Collaborating closely with management and Partners, this position balances strategic insight with practical execution, ranging from refining investment theses to organizing industry-leading events. The Chief of Staff ensures that strategy is implemented effectively, priorities remain aligned, and the team functions at peak performance daily. This role is located in Berlin.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Partners on strategy formulation, investment thesis development, and fund-wide projects.
• Act as a trusted advisor for high-priority activities and special initiatives.
• Manage and nurture LP and network relationships, ensuring consistent and high-quality communication.
• Support investor relations tasks including updates, quarterly reports, fundraising, meeting preparations, and due diligence processes.
• Lead the creation and maintenance of LP-facing documents such as quarterly newsletters, AGM presentations, due diligence questionnaires, and data-room files.
• Drive operational enhancements by identifying and applying process improvements and managing fund infrastructure.
• Facilitate cross-team communication and alignment to optimize collaboration.
• Oversee strategic projects that span operations, portfolio engagement, and ecosystem development.
• Prepare research and materials for important meetings and ensure follow-up on action items.
• Plan and execute key events including LP meetings, founder retreats, strategy off-sites, and ecosystem gatherings.
• Champion the integration of AI into organizational workflows, partnering with the Data Engineer to embed AI capabilities that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

• At least three years of experience in fast-paced, high-performance environments such as venture capital, startup ecosystems, or strategic consulting, with a strong grasp of innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Exceptional standards in written communication producing error-free, polished presentations, reports, and documentation ready for decision-making.
• Familiarity with how venture capital funds operate or ability to quickly learn fund mechanics, LP reporting cycles, due diligence processes, and investment committee protocols.
• Keen interest in AI applications within a fund context, complemented by a readiness to learn and promote AI-driven tools and workflows despite not needing an engineering background.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with high initiative; adept at spotting opportunities, structuring ambiguous situations, and mobilizing collaboration.
• Strong ability to synchronize diverse teams and priorities by converting broad fund objectives into actionable tasks and following through diligently.
• High emotional intelligence allowing effective navigation of varied personalities and adaptive communication styles.
