Job description
Role overview
This position sits in the CEO office at Giga, a San Francisco-based, in-person role in Dogpatch. The company has recently completed a $61M Series A and builds real-time AI agents for enterprise customer experience and operations. Its customers include Fortune 500 companies, and the business focuses on voice, chat, and email workflows where accuracy, compliance, and scale are critical.
The Chief of Staff is intended to be the CEO’s highest-trust operator and strategic partner. The role takes on a broad mix of planning, executive support, cross-functional execution, board preparation, fundraising support, and stakeholder coordination. The goal is to multiply the CEO’s effectiveness, strengthen leadership alignment, and keep the organization focused on long-term priorities.
This is a demanding, fast-moving environment with direct feedback, high ownership, and little tolerance for passive execution. The ideal person wants meaningful responsibility, not just a title, and is energized by working close to the core decisions that shape the company.
Company context
Giga is aiming to become a leading enterprise automation platform powered by voice superintelligence. The company works with major enterprises on complex support and operations use cases and emphasizes speed, accuracy, and reliability in regulated settings.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and run the executive office so the CEO has the systems, routines, and support needed to operate at maximum leverage.
- Act as a filter and decision point for incoming requests, determine what needs attention, and either handle it directly or route it to the right person.
- Serve as the main contact for the CEO’s direct reports and coordinate closely with the EA to keep the CEO’s calendar aligned with business priorities.
- Represent the CEO in selected meetings, challenge ideas constructively, and ensure action items are completed.
- Oversee how the CEO is positioned externally with investors, customers, and the wider ecosystem.
- Build the cadence for leadership meetings, board meetings, and offsites, and help shape company-wide communications.
- Drive quarterly planning, OKRs, leadership reviews, and major business update cycles.
- Own the operating dashboard for the company by defining key metrics, setting up tracking, reviewing performance weekly, and identifying risks early.
- Design meetings and operating rhythms so they lead to decisions and execution rather than just discussion.
- Lead strategic work that spans engineering, go-to-market, and operations, especially where responsibilities are unclear or cross departmental boundaries.
- Track high-priority initiatives, surface blockers and dependencies early, and push owners toward action with clear recommendations.
- Improve coordination and communication across teams to strengthen collaboration across the organization.
- Own board preparation end to end, including deck creation, narrative development, data room preparation, and related materials.
- Support fundraising efforts through modeling, materials, and diligence coordination.
- Create and maintain a system for managing important relationships with investors, customers, and strategic partners.
- Translate business performance, risks, and key decisions into concise external communications.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO by challenging assumptions, exploring options, and presenting clear recommendations.
- Keep long-term priorities in view even while the day-to-day workload remains intense.
Candidate profile
The company is looking for someone with 3 to 7 years of strong progression in BizOps, strategy, or operator roles at fast-moving companies. Backgrounds from frontier AI labs, high-growth startups, or consulting/banking paths into operations are all relevant, with emphasis on actual ownership and impact rather than pedigree alone.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working around LLM products and understands evaluation and inference economics well enough to contribute without needing extensive ramp-up. Excellent writing and analytical thinking are essential, along with sound judgment when handling confidential information, competing priorities, and senior relationships.
Success in this role also requires a track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from ambiguous beginnings through to completion, resilience under pressure, and a low-ego, high-accountability mindset.
First 90 days
By day 30, you should understand the operating rhythm, identify process gaps across functions, take at least two recurring tasks off the CEO’s plate, and become a reliable contact for CEO office matters.
By day 60, the company dashboard should be live, weekly metrics reviews should be running, board preparation should be under your ownership, and at least one cross-functional initiative should be fully managed by you.
By day 90, planning should be tighter, leadership meetings should be more decisive, cross-team initiatives should move more smoothly, and the CEO should have visibly more time for product, customer, and recruiting work.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a compensation range of $200K to $250K and includes equity. Additional benefits include catered lunch every day, a dinner stipend, a $500 monthly wellness and commuter benefit that can be used for gym memberships, fitness classes, or mental health support, a 401(k) plan, and medical, dental, and vision insurance. Relocation support is available.
Equal opportunity
Giga is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
Additional information
The role is full time, on-site, and based in San Francisco, specifically in-person in Dogpatch. The department is Strategy & Operations.
