Role Overview

The Chief of Staff will serve as a key integrator for HappyRobot's leadership team, enhancing their capacity to realize strategic initiatives and special projects aimed at scaling the company for long-term success. This role demands a versatile, high-output leader skilled in oscillating between strategic vision and detailed implementation, ensuring alignment and operational effectiveness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the founders and executive leaders to convert high-level strategic priorities into actionable plans and follow through to completion.
• Design and manage the cadence of leadership meetings, company-wide gatherings, and quarterly planning sessions, continuously refining alignment systems.
• Drive the execution of cross-departmental initiatives, spanning Product, Go-To-Market, and Operations, overseeing projects from inception through delivery.
• Establish, monitor, and report on organizational goals and key performance indicators in collaboration with executives, using data to highlight deviations from targets.
• Identify areas lacking structural or procedural rigor within the organization and develop solutions to bridge those gaps.

Candidate Profile

• Trusted and credible operator able to build rapport with executives and staff at all levels.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and enthusiastic about instituting systems where none previously exist.
• Meticulous and standards-driven, treating every assignment as a reflection of personal and company excellence.
• Humble, accountable, and eager to contribute broadly beyond conventional job boundaries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years in roles demanding high responsibility such as management consulting, investment banking, startup operations, or a prior Chief of Staff capacity.
• Strong skills in data analysis and technical understanding to support informed decision-making.
• Experience interfacing across multiple stakeholders including executive leadership, engineering, and commercial or field teams.
• Excellent communication capabilities, adept at synthesizing complex information for executive and board audiences.
• Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution.
• Preference given to candidates with experience at early-stage or rapidly growing startups.
