Role Overview

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) position is a contract and fully remote role responsible for directing the human resources strategy and operational functions at Charisela Technologies. This role encompasses designing and executing HR policies, programs, and practices aligned with the organization’s objectives and aimed at cultivating a constructive employee environment.

Key daily duties involve leading talent acquisition and development, administering performance management systems, and managing employee relations and engagement initiatives. The CHRO will collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to ensure HR initiatives complement business goals, guarantee compliance with employment regulations, and utilize HR analytics for continual improvement. Additional responsibilities include coaching leadership on personnel management, facilitating change management processes, and promoting an inclusive and equitable company culture.

Required Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of HR operations and strategic planning with a proven history of overseeing HR functions in a scaling enterprise.
  • Expertise in formulating and enforcing HR policies that balance compliance and fairness while enhancing organizational effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in employee relations, encompassing conflict resolution, engagement, and cross-team communication.
  • Experience in comprehensive talent management practices including workforce planning, recruitment strategies, succession planning, and employee growth initiatives.
  • Familiarity with performance management structures supporting goal-setting, feedback delivery, and evaluations.
  • Senior-level HR leadership experience, ideally as a CHRO, HR Vice President, or similar, especially within technology or fast-growing sectors.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication, and coaching abilities to effectively influence and collaborate with executive leaders.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. labor laws and regulations, with the capability to manage HR functions in a remote, distributed team environment.
  • Educational background requiring at least a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related disciplines; advanced qualifications or certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR are advantageous.
