Job description
Role Overview
Zr3i is an early-stage developer of nature-based solutions carbon projects across the MENA region. The company is currently building a date palm carbon sequestration initiative in Egypt using VM0042 and VM0047 v1.1 methodologies. It is looking for a co-founder who will own commercial growth and capital strategy.
Compensation
This position is equity-based only at the current stage, with no cash salary available initially. Once outside funding is secured, the company expects to introduce salary support. Applicants should be comfortable working without monetary compensation until that happens.
Responsibilities
- Shape and execute the growth plan, partnership strategy, and go-to-market approach for carbon market opportunities in the MENA region.
- Lead fundraising and capital outreach by preparing investor-facing materials, engaging funders, and structuring deals.
- Oversee the sales funnel and maintain relationships with clients and investors.
- Work with the founding team on product direction and market positioning.
Requirements
- Background in climate technology, carbon markets, sustainable finance, or impact investing.
- Proven ability to work independently in early-stage, distributed teams.
- Strong capabilities in analysis, sales, and stakeholder communication.
- MENA regional exposure or experience building cross-cultural partnerships is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, environmental science, economics, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
