Role Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position, based in Los Angeles, CA, is a full-time hybrid role offering partial remote work flexibility. The CFO will oversee the comprehensive financial management of the organization. Responsibilities include budget creation, forecasting, cash flow supervision, and long-term financial planning. This role entails preparing and examining financial statements, directing financial reporting, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory mandates.
Daily activities involve managing the finance team, establishing internal control systems, collaborating with executive leadership on strategic ventures, and providing data-driven insights to guide decision-making processes. The CFO will also liaise with external entities such as banks, auditors, and investors. Additionally, the role focuses on driving process enhancements and supporting organizational growth.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Finance and Financial Planning to lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic allocation of capital.
- Expertise in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and conducting Financial Reporting to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Strong Analytical Skills for interpreting financial metrics, recognizing trends, and offering actionable guidance.
- Significant experience in senior finance leadership, preferably as a CFO or VP of Finance within consumer products or beauty/wellness industries.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, corporate finance principles, and regulatory frameworks, including audit management and banking relations.
- Demonstrated capability in building and leading high-performing finance teams in a growing company environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines; advanced qualifications such as MBA, CPA, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
