Chief Financial Officer / Finance Controller

About the Opportunity

A rapidly growing, privately-owned design and construction company specializing in the hotel and hospitality sector is seeking its first finance leader. With revenues exceeding $90 million and an expanding presence across ANZ, the business is advancing its financial systems and operations to support ongoing growth.

Role Overview

As the inaugural head of finance, you will hold full accountability for all finance functions including system implementation, process development, financial reporting, and strategic advisory. Partnering closely with the Founders and executive team, your leadership will be instrumental in aligning financial performance with company objectives during this expansion phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to ensure alignment with the growth plans.
• Maintain compliance, governance oversight, and financial control of contractual arrangements.
• Identify and implement process efficiencies to optimize financial operations.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to Directors and senior leaders, offering expert insights as the business scales.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will hold CPA or CA accreditation and have significant experience within construction, design, property development, or project-driven industries. You are a hands-on finance leader comfortable in dynamic environments, possibly stepping into a senior CFO or Financial Controller role, or advancing into one. Combining strong technical finance capabilities with commercial insight, you demonstrate an ability to collaborate productively with entrepreneurial leadership.
