Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be an integral member of the senior leadership team, directly reporting to the Co-CEOs, and collaborating closely with operational, sales, and HR leaders. This role is charged with crafting and executing the company's financial strategy, safeguarding assets, managing accounting functions, and providing strategic financial insights to promote company growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Co-CEOs and senior leaders to develop long-term strategic plans based on predictive analytics and scenario modeling aimed at boosting margins and growth.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis function to convert complex data into actionable business intelligence and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and business planning process, balancing profit and growth objectives while adapting to economic and market volatility.
- Direct treasury activities focusing on cash flow optimization, working capital, and liquidity management.
- Maintain and align banking relationships across the US and Canada, ensuring capital availability via credit lines and debt consistent with strategic growth targets.
- Evaluate manufacturing product costs and operational performance against budgets using variance analysis to identify cost-saving measures.
- Translate organizational goals into departmental plans with meaningful KPIs to monitor progress and success.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams to nurture a culture of high performance and ongoing improvement.
- Oversee financial audits, tax strategy, compliance, and corporate risk management including insurance and IT security standards.
- Manage the IT department to ensure technology architecture supports robust financial systems and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Highly preferred certifications include CPA or Corporate FP&A Professional designation.
- 8–10 years of extensive progressive financial leadership experience focusing on FP&A, budgeting, and strategic financial planning within industries such as food manufacturing, agriculture, or commodities.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, forecasting, and ERP system utilization; IT leadership experience is a beneficial plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills capable of articulating complex financial information to diverse stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
The company offers a competitive salary range between $150,000 and $225,000 annually along with benefits supporting work-life balance, including flexible scheduling options and relocation assistance for suitable candidates. This is primarily an onsite full-time role in Morrisville, Vermont, with potential limited hybrid work once the position is established.
