Chief Financial Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join a prominent B2B distribution company in the Greater Cincinnati area. This role involves leading the finance function for a $200M-$300M business unit amidst a significant transformation and performance enhancement effort. The CFO will act as a vital partner to the President and leadership, spearheading financial strategy, operational excellence, and commercial decision support.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all finance and accounting operations, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, internal controls, and cash flow management.
• Collaborate with commercial, operational, and supply chain departments to drive profitability and overall business success.
• Create and implement reports, KPIs, and analytics that foster better decision-making and accountability at all levels.
• Lead initiatives aimed at margin enhancement, working capital optimization, operational improvements, and sustainable growth.
• Enhance financial processes, strengthen forecasting accuracy, enforce reporting discipline, and maintain robust internal controls.
• Serve as a trusted financial consultant to the President and executive team, supporting strategic business decisions.

Candidate Profile

• Possess over 20 years of advancing leadership experience in finance and accounting.
• Extensive expertise in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, and managing business performance.
• Strong commercial finance knowledge, with proven influence on business profitability.
• Demonstrated success in business transformation, turnaround, or performance improvement efforts.
• Experience in distribution, wholesale, or related B2B sectors is strongly favored.
• Able to balance strategic leadership with practical, hands-on partnership.
