Role Overview
This full-time position is for a Chief Executive Officer with CaixaBank Corporate & Investment Banking, operating remotely in the United States. The CEO is tasked with providing overarching strategic direction, establishing long-term business targets, and ensuring these are consistent with CaixaBank Group’s vision and appetite for risk. Daily activities involve supervising financial outcomes, managing corporate and investment banking functions, and spearheading business expansion in targeted markets and client groups.
Leadership and Governance
The CEO directs senior leadership teams, cultivates a culture of integrity and accountability, and upholds robust governance, compliance, and risk protocols. Representing the institution in engagements with key clients, regulatory bodies, partners, and stakeholders is also integral. Furthermore, driving innovation, encouraging digital transformation, and endorsing sustainable banking practices are critical aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Extensive expertise in finance and corporate banking, with a proven record managing complex financial portfolios and mitigating risks.
- Experience in operations management focused on optimizing workflows, resource allocation, and cross-departmental teams.
- Strong skills in business and strategic planning, demonstrated by the successful design and implementation of growth initiatives.
- Background in sales and client relationship development within corporate and investment banking sectors.
- Seasoned executive leadership with experience leading diverse teams and managing significant organizational transformations in large financial institutions.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities, able to interface effectively with boards, regulators, and key clients.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, risk oversight, and corporate governance on an international scale.
- Advanced academic credentials in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related disciplines; possession of an MBA or executive education is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage remote and geographically widespread teams, coupled with strong digital proficiency and ease with virtual collaboration platforms.
- Strong commitment to ethical business conduct, fostering diversity and inclusion, and advocating sustainable finance.
