Role Summary
The Chief Executive Officer will serve in a full-time remote capacity and will be accountable for defining Highland Capital Partners Ltd.'s strategic direction and making sure it is carried out effectively. This leader will guide overall business planning, monitor financial and operational performance, and partner with the leadership team to support long-term, sustainable growth. The position calls for close attention to market opportunities, financial stability, operational efficiency, compliance, and risk controls. The CEO will also direct sales and business development activities, strengthen relationships with important clients, partners, investors, and other stakeholders, and represent the company externally. In addition, this role involves developing and coaching a strong leadership bench, reinforcing a collaborative work culture, and communicating objectives and results clearly across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the company’s long-range strategic direction and ensure execution across the business.
- Lead business planning efforts and align organizational priorities with market opportunities.
- Oversee financial performance, operational effectiveness, compliance, and risk management.
- Work with the leadership team to drive growth that is steady and sustainable.
- Monitor financial health through budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and capital allocation decisions.
- Provide direction for sales and business development initiatives that support revenue growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, investors, stakeholders, and external organizations.
- Develop, coach, and inspire a high-performing leadership team in a distributed remote setting.
- Promote a collaborative culture and ensure clear communication of goals, progress, and outcomes.
- Represent the organization with credibility and influence in external discussions and negotiations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings senior executive leadership experience, preferably as a CEO, Managing Director, or comparable leader in finance or investment-related businesses. A strong background in finance, operations, strategic planning, and sales leadership is essential, along with the ability to lead distributed teams in a remote environment. The role also requires strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
Additional Requirements
Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, capital allocation, process optimization, resource management, organizational efficiency, and partnership development is highly relevant. An advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field is preferred; equivalent senior-level leadership experience may also be considered.
