Chief Executive Officer - Midstream/Downstream Oil & Gas

Position Overview

We are searching for a strategic and commercially adept Chief Executive Officer to steer the expansion and transformation of a Midstream or Downstream Oil & Gas enterprise within the GCC/Middle East region. This role demands a seasoned leader with a robust history in business development, acquisitions, financing, and scaling energy-related companies to maximize shareholder value sustainably.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement corporate strategy to drive business growth.
• Lead initiatives in investment strategies, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital fundraising.
• Advance business development efforts, expand commercial operations, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Oversee delivery of multiple large-scale projects and investment portfolios valued in billions of USD.
• Own full profit and loss accountability, targeting revenue growth, EBITDA improvements, and overall profitability.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with investors, National and International Oil Companies, EPC contractors, financial entities, and governmental bodies.

Candidate Profile

For Downstream CEO role:

• Experienced in executive roles across Refining, Petrochemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Fuel Marketing & Distribution, or Integrated Downstream Operations.
• Proven success in developing and enlarging downstream businesses with comprehensive P&L, M&A, investments, and handling substantial multi-billion-dollar projects.

For Midstream CEO role:

• Executive background in LNG, Gas Processing, Pipelines, Transportation, Storage Terminals, Tank Farms, Marine Terminals, Logistics, or Energy Infrastructure.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale midstream assets, including P&L responsibility, M&A, large infrastructure projects, and significant investments.

Educational & Professional Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is mandatory; MBA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 20 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry with at least 10 years serving in chief executive or equivalent top leadership roles (e.g., CEO, President, Managing Director, Executive Director).
• Track record of establishing, acquiring, and scaling downstream or midstream operations.
• Experienced leadership of multiple multi-billion-dollar projects and investment portfolios.
• Complete ownership of profit and loss, with proven expertise in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project finance, capital-raising, and corporate strategic management.
• Extensive network among National and International Oil Companies, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Private Equity firms, EPC contractors, financial institutions, and governmental agencies.
