Overview
The YMCA of Moore County seeks a dedicated community leader to helm a well-founded and financially stable organization deeply rooted in local connections. With an annual budget exceeding $1.4 million and recent major facility enhancements valued at over $1.3 million, this role offers a unique opportunity for growth and community impact.
Role Summary
The CEO will serve as the organization's prominent leader, nurturing relationships with members, staff, and community partners to ensure programs are responsive to local needs. This leader will also oversee existing operations as well as spearhead program expansion, contributing meaningfully to the wellbeing of individuals and families county-wide.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and/or equivalent significant work experience.
- Proven fiscal management skills with experience overseeing budgets over $1.4 million annually.
- At least seven years in senior management roles within YMCAs or similar organizations, including multilayered staff supervision.
- Track record of strengthening community partnerships.
- Innovative program development skills with the ability to assess financial viability and community alignment.
- Experience in strategic planning and fundraising, such as managing annual campaigns and grant writing.
- Current YMCA Organizational Leader Certification or readiness to obtain within three years.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with volunteers, community leaders, and staff to develop and execute a strategic plan with clear goals and actionable steps.
- Utilize advanced financial analysis to promote stability, increase revenues, control expenses, and ensure departmental effectiveness.
- Engage board members and staff in setting annual operational objectives that foster safety, relevance, and sustainability.
- Represent the YMCA in the community to strengthen mission engagement and partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Develop a robust talent management system, cultivating a mission-driven, collaborative workplace culture.
- Drive fundraising efforts by crafting and implementing plans that increase donor involvement and community support.

Salary and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $68,000 to $75,000
