Role Overview

This fractional Chief Executive Officer position requires a commitment of up to 30 hours per month initially, transitioning into a full-time leadership role once seed funding is secured. The CEO will provide strategic leadership across fundraising, product execution, team building, and early market validation.

Compensation and Structure

The role offers equity participation from the outset, with a base salary commencing only after successful seed round closure. Prior to financing, no cash salary is provided. Performance-based incentives may also be offered upon reaching specific milestones.

Primary Responsibilities

• Drive and manage seed-stage fundraising strategy and investor engagement.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with venture capitalists, strategic investors, utilities, and advisory personnel.
• Refine the company's business model, investor narratives, pitch materials, executive summaries, and go-to-market plans.
• Oversee product roadmap creation and deployment in partnership with technology, product, and advisory teams.
• Lead overall strategy, operational execution, capital planning, and growth for an early-stage startup.
• Support recruitment and development of a leadership team as the company evolves beyond founder-led execution.
• Guide scalable platform development, validate early customers, and foster long-term strategic growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated success in raising capital for startups or growth-oriented businesses.
• Comprehensive knowledge of startup ecosystems, venture capital mechanisms, investor relations, and seed fundraising.
• Minimum of three years collaborating with or supervising technical teams.
• Experience in product roadmap development, launch strategies, and commercialization efforts.
• Preferred background in alternative energy or fintech sectors with at least three years of relevant involvement.
• Bachelor’s degree required in STEM, business, finance, management, or a related discipline; MBA is advantageous.
• Capable of thriving in a dynamic, resource-constrained startup environment with considerable ambiguity.
• Ability to effectively relay technical and market concepts to investors, partners, and board members.
