Executive Opportunity
We are seeking a bilingual President & CEO fluent in Japanese and English to lead the U.S. operations of a rapidly expanding Japanese restaurant brand. The position is based in West Los Angeles, CA, and offers a competitive compensation package around $200,000, varying with experience.
Company Growth and Expansion
The company has successfully launched its first U.S. location in West LA and plans to open a second store on the East Coast this October. The business strategy includes an ambitious nationwide rollout predominantly led by franchising (approximately 90% franchise-owned and 10% company-owned locations).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full spectrum of U.S. business strategy and daily operations.
- Lead the nationwide expansion initiatives to grow the brand across the United States.
- Formulate and implement strategies to develop the franchise network.
- Manage profit and loss responsibilities and ensure financial performance meets targets.
- Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing local leadership teams.
- Collaborate closely with investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners to support growth objectives.
Desired Qualifications
- Fluent in Japanese and English at a business level.
- Executive leadership experience within the restaurant or food and beverage sector, including QSR, sushi, ramen, cafés, or similar establishments.
- Proven track record scaling multi-unit operations successfully.
- Expertise in P&L management and strategic business planning.
- Experience in franchise development and managing partner relationships.
- Strong negotiation skills in English at a business level.
- Experience managing international business or overseas operations.
- Capability to integrate corporate strategies with local market execution.
Required Credentials
- Extensive senior leadership experience in the restaurant or food service industries.
- Previous exposure to various restaurant formats such as sushi bars, ramen shops, cafés, or full-service restaurants is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead operations, build teams, and drive sustained business growth.
