Chief Accountant

About the Role

Shellgrow Holiday Homes, a growing property management company in Dubai, UAE, seeks a seasoned Chief Accountant to oversee the full range of accounting and financial functions. This position demands a reliable and detail-focused professional capable of independently handling financial operations and delivering precise management reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle and financial operations.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable activities.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow controls.
• Handle owner settlements and issue monthly owner statements.
• Track revenue and profitability at the property level.
• Control expenses related to properties, including utilities, maintenance, and supplier payments.
• Manage payroll and employee payments.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Provide financial reports and analyses to support management decisions.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and suppliers.
• Implement and enhance financial control procedures.

Requirements

• A minimum of three to five years of accounting experience, preferably including Chief or Senior Accountant roles.
• Prior experience working within UAE accounting frameworks is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Preference for candidates experienced in holiday homes, hospitality, property management, or real estate sectors.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with accounting software as well as CRM and PMS systems.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• English language skills at an upper-intermediate level or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Airbnb, Booking.com, Property Finder, OTA platforms, handling accounting and owner settlements across multiple properties.
