About the Role

Xenon Arc works with producers to improve how they reach and support customers. The company partners with industrial chemical manufacturers and global food ingredient suppliers to help them operate in hard-to-access markets, grow revenue, streamline operations, and adopt digital tools. This position is designed for German-speaking professionals with a background in chemistry or a closely related discipline who want to build a career at the crossroads of technical knowledge and commercial development.

This opportunity suits both recent graduates who are ready to begin a sales career and experienced professionals already working in chemical sales. The role offers a structured path toward becoming a full Account Manager within the German-speaking market. During the first 3 to 6 months, you will receive onboarding support while handling a small set of lower-volume accounts. Over time, your scope will increase until you can independently manage a full customer segment.

Role Summary

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Dublin, Ireland. It is primarily office-based, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The role is classified as exempt and reports to the Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow revenue within the assigned customer group through in-person, phone, email, instant messaging, and other web-based communication channels.
  • Identify and win new business through prospecting and sales activity.
  • Manage customer forecasts so the segment stays aligned with target expectations.
  • Improve service delivery to support a strong customer experience.
  • Own the end-to-end customer journey, including order handling, payment collection, and coordination of logistics.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and daily activity logs in the CRM system.

Candidate Profiles

The employer is open to two types of applicants:

  • Graduate or career-starter profile: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or another relevant science discipline; native or fluent German; strong English communication skills; a strong interest in commercial work and technical sales; a self-driven and adaptable attitude; and no prior sales experience required.
  • Experienced profile: A degree in a chemical or related technical field is preferred; experience in B2B chemical sales, technical sales, or account management in the chemical or industrial sector; a record of building customer relationships and increasing revenue; and familiarity with go-to-market approaches and CRM tools.

Core Requirements

  • Native-level or fluent German, with strong spoken and written English.
  • A customer-first mindset and a strong ability to work well in teams.
  • Good negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 5%; the position is mainly desk-based.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Experience

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in B2B selling.
  • Experience building go-to-market plans that support revenue growth.
  • Hands-on use of CRM software.
  • Strong command of the Microsoft suite.

Compensation

The package includes a base salary of up to €50,000 per year plus incentive pay, depending on experience.
