Role overview

Grand Hyatt Doha is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie for the Bakery & Pastry section. In this role, you will help keep the department running smoothly in alignment with Hyatt International’s corporate direction, brand expectations, and the standards set for both guests and ownership.

What you will do

You will lead the assigned bakery and pastry station, making sure breads, pastries, desserts, and other baked items are produced consistently to a high standard. The role calls for a service style that is courteous, polished, efficient, and adaptable, while supporting the outlet’s concept and Hyatt’s operational guidelines.

You will also be expected to maintain strong food presentation, uphold strict hygiene practices, and contribute new ideas to improve bakery and pastry offerings.

Experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie, or 3 to 4 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Commis in a bakery and pastry section within a hotel or a large restaurant known for high standards. Experience with luxury international brands is preferred.

A background in Bakery & Pastry, Kitchen Production, or Culinary Management will be considered an advantage.

Strong knowledge of bakery and pastry methods, kitchen sanitation, and occupational health and safety requirements is essential. Familiarity with MS Office and recipe management systems is also preferred, along with the ability to keep recipes, portions, and presentation consistent.

Additional notes

This position is based in Doha, Qatar and is a full-time, on-site role.
